Fluid Coupling with Integrated Pulley
Eliminate Separate Pulley Adapters · Cut Axial Length by 40% · Drive Multiple Machines
A standard fluid coupling already provides soft start and overload protection. But when you also need to drive auxiliary equipment via a belt (e.g., a fan, a small conveyor, or a hydraulic pump), the conventional solution is messy: a separate pulley mounted on the motor shaft, plus a separate coupling. This eats up axial space, adds alignment headaches, and transmits belt shock directly to the motor bearings. Our Fluid Coupling with Integrated Pulley solves this by machining the pulley grooves directly onto the coupling housing (input or output side). The result: one compact unit that does two jobs – fluid power transmission and belt drive – saving up to 40% in length, eliminating extra adapters, and protecting all driven machines.

✔ Why Choose the Integrated Pulley Design
One component, two functions – Combines a hydrodynamic coupling and a belt pulley. No need for a separate pulley hub or extra shaft extension.
Shorter overall length – Typical reduction: from 550 mm to 330 mm for a 200 kW drive. Critical for mobile crushers, agricultural harvesters, and compact industrial machines.
Belt shock absorbed by the fluid coupling – Unlike a rigid pulley, the hydraulic circuit damps vibrations and limits torque spikes, protecting motor bearings and the belt itself.
One coupling drives multiple machines – The direct output shaft can drive one load (e.g., a crusher), while the belt drives another (e.g., a fan or conveyor).
Easier alignment – Because the pulley is machined integrally, its concentricity to the shaft is guaranteed. Only the motor‑to‑coupling alignment matters.
Customizable belt profiles – V‑belt (SPA, SPB, SPC), poly‑V, timing belt, flat belt – we match your existing belt system.

⚙️ How the Integrated Pulley Coupling Works
The unit contains a standard fluid coupling circuit (pump wheel + turbine) inside a cast housing. The housing also includes an integral belt pulley – either on the input side (if you need to drive a fan from the motor before the coupling) or more commonly on the output side (so the belt drive also benefits from the fluid coupling’s soft start and torque limiting). Power flows from the motor through the fluid coupling to the output shaft. At the same time, a belt wrapped around the pulley transfers power to an auxiliary machine. Because the pulley is rigidly attached to the coupling housing (which rotates at turbine speed), the auxiliary machine receives the same soft start and overload protection as the main machine. There is no need for a separate belt tightening mechanism on the coupling – standard belt tensioners are used, but the coupling’s housing is designed to withstand the radial load without deflection.
? Perfect Applications for an Integrated Pulley Coupling
Mobile crushing & screening plants – Drive the crusher (direct) and the discharge conveyor or dust fan (belt) from one engine.
Agricultural harvesters & forage choppers – Power the main threshing mechanism and the blower/hydraulic pump simultaneously.
Industrial mixers – Agitator shaft driven directly, and a cooling fan or feed auger driven by belt.
Generator sets – Gen head direct‑coupled, and radiator fan or water pump belt‑driven from the same coupling.
Wood chippers & shredders – Main rotor direct, and infeed roller or hydraulic pump via belt.

⚙️ Pulley diameter
Choose any standard or custom pitch diameter to match your speed ratio.
? Material choice
Cast iron (standard), steel, or stainless steel for corrosive environments.
? Balanced assembly
We dynamically balance the complete coupling + pulley unit for smooth running up to 1500 rpm.
With 22+ years of experience, we have supplied thousands of pulley‑integrated couplings for OEMs and end users. Our engineers will verify belt pull, overhang load, and thermal limits to ensure a long life. All units come with 1‑2 year warranty covering both the fluid coupling and the pulley.
? Why Our Integrated Pulley Coupling Is Different
No extra adapter – Other solutions bolt a separate pulley to a coupling hub. Our design is one‑piece, eliminating fretting corrosion and alignment errors.
Higher radial load capacity – Housing is reinforced near the belt line to withstand heavy belt tension without flexing.
Simplified inventory – One spare part replaces two.
Proven in mobile equipment – Used in crushers, harvesters, and concrete mixers worldwide.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions – Pulley Integration
? Production lead time?
15–35 working days, depending on pulley complexity (grooves, diameter).
? What belt types can you accommodate?
V‑belt (SPZ, SPA, SPB, SPC, classic sections), poly‑V (PJ, PL, PK), timing belts (T10, AT10, etc.), and flat belts. Provide your belt section or drawing.
? Can I change the pulley later?
The pulley is integrated – not field‑replaceable. For applications requiring different speed ratios, we recommend ordering a spare coupling with the alternative pulley.
? Does the pulley add vibration?
No – each unit is dynamically balanced as an assembly. We balance according to ISO 1940 grade G6.3 or finer if required.
? Export packaging?
ISPM15 certified fumigation‑free wooden crates.
? Payment terms?
30% T/T advance, balance 70% against BL copy. LC acceptable.
